Product Manager

Position Purpose

The Product Manager uses their experience and excellent customer service to sell specific building products to all types of construction experts, with a goal of profitability for their product line.

Essential Functions

• Learns and participates in the ongoing evolution of the science behind specific products supplied by Negwer Materials, Inc.
• Sells to the entire channel: from architects and designers, general contractors, a wide range of sub-contractors and, Negwer Materials, Inc. Team Members
• Provides project leads to customers
• Tracks projects from planning through bidding stages and provides technical support through product completion
• Ensures follow-up and responses to customer and vendor needs in a timely manner
• Attends and completes required training classes and reads assigned training materials
• Coordinates deliveries with dispatch
• Evaluates product performance compared to cost, makes recommendations as needed
• Oversees inventory control
• Reaches and tracks annual sales goals of vendors
• Negotiates and tracks quarterly rebates
• Stays current with market trends, competitor activities and products, and informs Management of upcoming impacts to the Company, then implements changes as needed
• Coordinates and/or prepares, and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Ensures that products are used correctly
• Flexible/non-traditional schedule may be required, and regular travel
• Performs other necessary functions as assigned

Qualifications Preferred

Knowledge

• 5-8 years' construction sales experience, or a related field
• Ability to learn and sell the entire product line
• Some college preferred
• Comfortable with learning and using new technologies
• Sufficient experience with the Microsoft Office suite
