Management Trainee - Cape

Position Purpose

Management Trainees sell our Company's full line of distribution products to our customers via phone and counter sales, and maximize profits through their knowledge, customer service and professionalism while rotating through various positions at our facility. In addition, they will learn the skills necessary to hold a management position in the future with Negwer.

Essential Functions

• Determines customer's needs and recommends appropriate products and solutions
• Expedites incoming sales calls, quotes and inquiries and assists with counter sales
• Accepts payment and applies it to the appropriate customer account
• Arranges product displays and layouts to maximize effectiveness
• Reorders products to keep the store and warehouse shelves stocked
• Assists other Inside Sales Representatives with other customers and product lines
• Tracks jobs and reports findings to the team
• Coordinates deliveries with dispatch
• Tracks and resolves pricing, credit, and delivery issues
• Assumes responsibility for knowing and observing our rules of conduct and safety at all times
• Attends and completes required training classes and reading assigned training materials
• Learns and retains proficient product knowledge and processes
• Rotates through various positions at our facility, such as dispatch, customer services, safety administrator, and warehouse supervisor
• Flexible/non-traditional schedule may be required, and some travel
• Performs other necessary functions as assigned
• Undergoes management training
• Completes all courses and requirements for a managerial position

Qualifications Necessary

Knowledge

• 1-3 years related experience in construction sales and/or managerial experience preferred
• Some college education preferred
• Ability and desire to learn about new products and services
• Comfortable with learning and using new technologies
• Sufficient experience with the Microsoft Office suite

• A positive attitude and the ability to maintain professional, long-term co-worker, customer, vendor, and business relationships
