Door Systems Operations Manager - Columbia

Position Purpose

The Negwer Door Systems Operations Manager oversees all Door Shop operations including personnel, communication and overall performance of the shop.

Essential Functions

• Measures the effectiveness of the door shop and implements improvements as required
• Grows and maintains relationships with vendors
• Oversees the NDS Shop Associates and NDS Operations Assistant in all areas of personnel management
• Communicates daily with office Team Members and shop personnel
• Produces delivery schedules and monitors progress
• Reviews and processes shop orders from Sales Department
• Coordinates paperwork with Dispatching for delivery or sales counter for pickup
• Obtains LTL shipment quotes, books shipments when necessary and monitors the pickup and shipment of all LTL orders
• Enters and maintains all records of assignments, transactions, etc., between office, shop, the master warehouse, and location
• Oversees daily assignments for NDS Shop Associates
• Produces and coordinates production schedules to match customer's orders to labor and material
• Produces production schedules for hollow metal shop, wood door shop
• Produces assembly schedules for hardware and Division 10 products
• Flexible/non-traditional schedule may be required, and some travel
• Performs other necessary functions as assigned

Qualifications Preferred

Knowledge

• 3-5 years related experience
• Some college preferred
• Comfortable with learning and using new technologies
• Sufficient experience with the Microsoft Office suite
