Customer Solutions Representative

Position Purpose

The Customer Solutions Representative sells our Company's full line of distribution products to our customers via phone and counter sales and maximizes profits through their knowledge, customer service, and professionalism.

Essential Functions

Sales

• Determines customer's needs and recommends appropriate products and solutions
• Expedites incoming sales calls, quotes and inquiries
• Assist with counter sales and cash management of the counter
• Works in conjunction with Outside Sales to aid in customer support and sales
• Makes daily outgoing calls to existing and potential customers
• Enters sales orders timely and accurately
• Accepts payment and applies it to the appropriate customer account
• Promotion and maintenance of office inventory (STAFDA)
• Provides customer and job follow-up as needed
• Develops a territorial customer database coordinating with Outside Sales and the Regional Manager
• A Flexible/non-traditional schedule may be required, and some travel

Operations

• Efficient dispatching
• Covers yard work duties as needed
• Performs other necessary functions as assigned

Qualifications Necessary

Knowledge

• Strong product knowledge of the construction industry
• Ability and desire to learn about new products and services
• Comfortable with learning and using new technologies
• Sufficient experience with the Microsoft Office suite
• 1-3 years related experience in construction sales preferred
• Some college education preferred
