Assistant Location Manager - Columbia

Position Purpose

The Assistant Location Manager supports daily operations and customer service of their location. Assistant Location Managers have a high level of interaction with customers, field customer calls, and are responsible for the highest level of customer service and professionalism.

Essential Functions

• Participates in administering Company policies
• Supports long-range goals for the Location within the framework of Company sales goals.
• Supports a safety-focused culture, and provides assistance to ensure that equipment and facility meet Company, OSHA, and DOT standards and regulations
• Monitors the condition of Company buildings and equipment as needed
• Grows and maintains relationships with customers and Location vendor contacts
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed
• Assists the Credit Department with collections and credit limits based on upcoming work as needed
• Flexible/non-traditional schedule may be required, and some travel
• Performs other necessary functions as assigned

Qualifications Preferred

Knowledge

• 3-5 years of experience in construction material distribution preferred
• Some college preferred
• Comfortable with learning and using new technologies
• Sufficient experience with the Microsoft Office suite
