Accounts Receivable Associate

Position Purpose

The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for all Company Accounts Receivable and providing general support to the  

Accounting Department.                                                                       .

Essential Functions

• Posting customer payments thru all methods of receipts on a daily basis with all receipts applied within one day of receipt.
• Issuing debit and credit memo's to customers within 3 business days of posting cash and scanning back up by the end of the work week.
• Maintaining sales tax exemption certificates and issuing sales tax credits to customers. The tax information should be entered into the system upon receipt of the tax form. Tax corrections should be processed no later than 1 day of receipt of the forms.
• Maintaining the expiring tax exemption certificate report by contacting the customers on a weekly basis with a goal of obtaining an updated certificate in advance of expiration of certificate on file.  
• Providing support to the Credit, Accounts Payable, and General Accounting Departments as needed
• Assists in special projects required to improve processes and workflow

Qualifications Preferred

Knowledge

• 3-5 years of related experience in an accounting role, or related field preferred
• Solid understanding of financial accounting/GAAP
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with learning and using new technologies
• Proficient experience with the Microsoft Office suite
